Greece for whales

Next month, the International Whaling Commission (IWC) will be meeting next month to decide the fate of the planet's whales.

At last year's meeting, the pro-whaling Japanese government won a simple majority resolution by only 1 vote: 33 to 32.

This year, every single vote is crucial. Pressure is mounting in Denmark to vote for the whales, but right now, it is very important that Greece joins the IWC on time for the next annual meeting in Alaska on May 31st.
