From the award-winning documentary, "Playing For Change: Peace Through Music", comes the first of many "songs around the world" being released independently. Featured is a cover of the Ben E. King classic by musicians around the world adding their part to the song as it travelled the globe. This and other songs such as "One Love" will be released as digital downloads soon; followed by the film soundtrack and DVD early next year.

Hi Mick and thanks for the post!
As for the "Earth Day", I 'm sending you already my compliments and my congratulations (you know why).
In 2005 I participated in an experiment to see how long I could live without using energy. I had the electricity in my apartment turned off and I lived without television, computer, lights, air-contitioning or heat for a year before I had it turned back on. In that period of time I read about 25 books by candle light and I heated my apartment in the winter by using a little gas stove and candles. I stopped driving my car and started riding the metro or my bike. I washed my clothing in the bathroom sink and hung them to dry on my balcony. I bought a little battery operated radio/alarm clock for music (as that was the one thing I COULD NOT live without) and to keep track of the time, and I cut down my garbage output to where I averaged about one full bag of garbage per month. It was quite an eye opener. It taught me that a lot of things that we consider necessities in life are really just luxuries, and life is really not that bad without them, it just takes a little adjustment.
Kisses
MJ
